Japanese School Uniforms

I have read a good book by Bruce Feiler – Learning to Bow – Inside the Heart of Japan. He lived one year in Japan, teaching English in Tochigi Prefecture, and he presents in this book his experience in Japan. He talks with warm humour about the cultural differences and also the school life in this country. The author speaks Japanese and knows well the Japanese culture. Thus the book is informative, and it is also wonderfully written. It is a good read. Japanese children study much more, attend evening classes and have shorter holidays. These are some photos of school children in different uniforms.
