Inside The Restaurant Of Tono Village, Iwate Prefecture

In January I mentioned the restaurant in Tono in a couple of posts. It is located in a village designated as natural cultural property and local dishes can be enjoyed inside, the hittsumi soup included. It is an old building, with a thick roof and a rustic atmosphere inside.

A Stroll In Tatsuno, Hyogo

Since I mentioned the special wagashi shop in Tatsuno in yesterday's post, I will upload some photos taken in the alleys of the town tonight.

There is an unusually tall building, too. I mean, for such a small town. 珍しいですね。

270-Year Old Wagashi Shop, Tatsuno

Tatsuno Town is located near Ibo River. Tatsuno Castle is a main attraction for tourists. There is a 270-year old wagashi shop here, too. The owner was so welcoming, and even offered me a map and talked for a while about the many generations that have been producing wagashi in this place. Wagashi is a traditional Japanese confectionery.

The entrance of the shop, above. And Tatsuno is also famous for the thin Japanese noodles called soumen
