Shibazakura - Lawn Sakura In Himeji City

Shibazakura is called phlox in English, and there are more than 60 species. In Japanese, 芝桜 shiba-zakura means "lawn sakura." Every spring, after the sakura is gone, people enjoy the lawn sakura.

I like shibazakura very much. It has delicate and beautiful flowers. This is a place in Himeji City, Hyogo-ken.

It is written shibazakura.

A warm message written below the place's mascots: Ganbarou Nippon - Let's try out best, Japan! or Be strong, Japan! Ganbarou is a message that I read every 100 m in the steets of Tohoku. By doing their best and a lot of inner strength, the country has raised so much.
