Kakizome - First Calligraphy

On 2 January, there is the first calligraphic writing of the year, called kakizome. Auspicious words are beautifully written, preferably sitting in a fortunate direction. The kakizome paper is usually burnt on 14 January.

I wrote heiwa 平和 peace, harmony. Though without guidance, and holding the brush for the first time. The result is pathetic, especially on glossy and inappropriate type of paper - though I have the right paper as well. The 口 appears as a circle, thinking that round is the symbol of perfection in Japan. I'd like to know what all you wrote today. ( ^ _ ^ )
