Awaji Island is located in Hyogo Prefecture, between Honshu and Shikoku. You can “Search This Blog” to view other posts on Awaji – for example the Hanshin Earthquake Museum on this island on 26 July 2012, and the long Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on 15 August. It is a legendary island where it is said that the first Japanese island appeared.
