Having subtropical climate, vividly coloured flowers will bloom in Okinawa throughout the year. Flower festivals are also held in Okinawa, such as the Lily Festival, Orchid Festival, Sakura and Azalea Festivals. Okinawa is famous for many things, among which the local drink – awamori, and the shisa decorations on the roof, Ryukyu culture, as well as lots of hibiscus flowers. Hibiscus is used here in tea and refreshing drinks, too. The first photo below is a hibiscus.
I like hibiscus flowers and have brought up a yellow one before. That's surprising to be used in tea and refreshing drinks! I really want to try that!!
