Japanese Flower Proverb & Metal Flowers In Omiya

Iwanu ga hana 言わぬが花, “not speaking is the flower” means that it is better to leave the things, or some things, unsaid. Silence is golden. I found a nice translation into French of this Japanese saying: « Les mots qu'on n'a pas prononcés sont des fleurs. » The words that we leave unsaid are flowers. These metal flowers – photos taken in Omiya, the bonsai village in Saitama prefecture – are silently waiting for the superb flowers that will soon bloom in Japan. It is a country full of beautiful flowers. Waiting for the spring time…

They look lifeless. It was an unexpected sight, in a country where flowers are highly praised in such a refined art like ikebana.
